My 2 kids love going to Brainworks Balwyn. They enjoy quiet time and the opportunity to think quietly and learn at their own pace. Small groups and excellent tutors allow efficient and fun studying. Information
The Brainworks Foundation program includes maths tutoring and English tutoring for students in years 1 to 10, building confidence in all areas. Your child will be assessed at their current level and a program tailored for their specific needs and goals.
Students build skills and confidence, gain exam question familiarity and develop exam strategies. Students study specific exam subjects including numerical, verbal and abstract reasoning, comprehension, maths and essay writing.
Your child will build and improve their skills with Brainworks tutoring Balwyn. Genuine one to one attention combined with a system to keep all students on track and encouraged, ensures all learning problems are identified and work is adjusted.
Your child will receive an individual program that has been developed to meet their learning needs and educational goals. Students work through their own tailored program with tutoring assistance, learning new skills and building their confidence.

Doncaster and Balwyn Brainworks' Holiday Workshops are back in January 2025! From the 20th to 24th of January 2025, Brainworks Balwyn will be hosting workshops at our Balwyn Venue! Whether you're seeking to give your child a head start in their Maths and English, wanting to brush up their writing or prepare for NAPLAN and scholarship/selective entry, our tutors are here to help.
Holiday Writing Intensives
We are excited to announce the return of our successful holiday writing workshops! Students heading into Year 3 & above in 2025 are welcome to join our step-by-step writing program geared towards developing student's skills in structured creative & persuasive essays! Join us for up to 4 days of intensive writing and set your child up for success.Scholarship & Selective Entry Intensive
Does your child have an upcoming scholarship or selective entry exam from February of 2025? Get in as much preparation as you can and see how your child is progressing at Brainworks! Work with our tutors to prepare for tests like ACER, Edutest, AAS (and more!) by enhancing their understanding of test-type questions and exam conditions. We will work with students through Comprehension, Mathematics, Essay Writing (Persuasive and Creative) and the 3 types of reasoning not taught in schools - Numerical, Verbal and Abstract reasoning! We aim to keep parents in the loop by providing personalised feedback to both parents and students at the end of the intensive through our realistic mock tests!

Are you preparing your child for Selective Entry? Brainworks recommends at least 9-12 months of preparation for Year 9 entry for schools such as John Monash Science School (in collaboration with Brainworks Burwood), MacRob (Girls), Melbourne High School (Boys), Nossal High School and Suzanne Cory!
How can Brainworks help?
Brainworks tutoring can assist your child’s selective entry test preparation. At Brainworks, students work through content that is specific for their ACER, Edutest and AAS scholarship exams. Our scholarship program offers students a tailor-fit course in problem solving, reading comprehension, writing and the 3 types of reasoning often exclusive to scholarship exams - Numerical, Verbal and Abstract! In addition, students will also partake in timed tests in class and have the opportunity to undergo mock tests to help evaluate their progress and prepare them for test day.
